12 of the best minimalist round dining tables

There’s something so nice about round dining tables. They create an instant focal point in a space, drawing your eye and inviting you to sit down for a cosy, intimate gathering. I always think the use of circles in an interior can help soften a space. Rounded shapes bring a feeling of femininity and fluidity to a room, balancing clean, architectural lines and creating little pockets of interest.

Round dining tables are perfect for small spaces too. They can often slot into compact spaces better than their rectangular siblings, taking up less of a footprint. You also feel like you can get round them more easily, without bumping into a sharp edge. So if you’re stuck for space, I’ve got a dozen beautiful designs that will help transform a corner of your home into the perfect spot for eating and relaxing.

Here I’ve rounded up 12 of the best minimalist round dining tables, from simple white designs to timeless solid wood shapes. They range in price from £500 to just under £2,000.

Quite a few of these designs come in a couple of different sizes, and plenty are available in multiple finishes. But you’ll tend to find most dining tables are either 90cm or 120cm. The general rule is that a table with 100cm diameter will fit four people round it, a table of 120cm will comfortably fit six people, and a table of 150cm will fit eight people. Depending on the number of people you wish to have around the table, you’ll want to think about the legs on the dining table and whether they’ll clash awkwardly with the chairs. One leg, cone-shaped designs are the most streamlined and you won’t have the issue of sitting with a table leg between your legs.
